Bases
LBG is a ranged weapon using ammos that can be bought at the General Store or crafted. Each LBG can use different ammos and has a reload speed, recoil and deviation parameter tied to each of said ammo, impacting its shooting performances. Using skills linked to these mechanics can improve the weapon performances.
Each ammo type has a critical range, Frontier indicating this range with a shiny effect on the ammo while it’s traveling through the air. Shooting at critical range will increase your ammo damage by 50%

LBG tends to have shorter ammo clips but can move fast and do rapid shots with some ammo types indicated in the weapon description. In this game, you can also impact its firing rate and reinforce the shots with a special mechanic.
LBG can also use modifiers that can be equiped at the Workshop:
- Silencer: reduces chances of being targetted by the monster
- Long Barrel: increases shot speed
- Adaptative Aim: allows to adjust the zoom level when in first person aiming
Earth Style
Frontier has a quite unique mechanic allowing you to shoot and reload faster if you time your actions correctly with a dedicated gauge. Shooting at the right timing also increase your shot damage by 30%. The gauge marker is green for the shot timing and yellow for the reload one.
Gou and superior LBG can do ultra rapid fire. These shots can be chained and get stronger with each ammo fired, adding one more shot each time. For instance when shooting a Normal Lvl1 ammo in ultra rapid fire, the first ammo will fire 3 shots, the second 4, the third 5, the fourth 6, etc.
Heaven Style
Heaven Style shortens the reload animation but only refills half the ammo clip, rounded up.
It also reduces the critical range of your shots, forcing you to fight closer to the monster, but also reinforce the critical range modifier by 10%, turning it to 160%.

Storm Style
Storm Style allows LBG to do a step forward that can be chained with a close shot. This special shot strongly reduces the critical range of the fired ammo, right at the muzzle of the gun, but also reinforces its multiplier up to 200%. When rapid or ultra rapid firing, all the shots are affected by the close shot effect.
Extreme Style
Unlike with other weapons, Extreme Style here is based on Earth Style and not Storm Style. You lose the rapid reload, the forward step, the close shot and the critical range reductions.
Like every weapon, LBG can run in Extreme Style. You can end that run with a forward slide allowing you to cover a great distance with some good iframes.
LBG can now perform a dodge shot after a regular shot, allowing you to quickly move left or right mid-combo while having some iframes. This special shot only deals 60% of the original shot damage.
LBG can also perform a power shot after a regular shot. Despite having more recoil, it deals 200% damage and is ideal when using powerful but limited ammos.
Daily bonus
The daily bonus increase the critical range multiplier by 10% and increase your status damage by 20%.
