KingofCharmanders (or KoC for short) is a rather divisive content creator in the MHNow english community. I’ll be honest, I myself am not his greatest fan. A few days back, he uploaded a video titled “THE SAD TRUTH of the Monster Hunter Now English YouTuber Community! GREED AND LIES EXPOSED!“. In this video, he roasted two other content creators. And that video was… Quite bad to say the least. It ended up deleted the following day as, according to a comment under one of his Youtube community post, “[he] was asked to edit some stuff out from the video by the devs and [he]’ll honor that since [he] respect them”.
Honestly, that’s quite the nice move from KoC. And then he reuploaded it.
I want to add a few interesting points regarding this video:
- this is a well crafted video, with clearly hours of editing and voicing that went into it and I think it needs to be appreciated: KoC clearly made this with a rested head, he was lucid, not blinded by rage, under the influence or anything so I’ll take his words as perfectly reliable
- he removed the video to “edit some stuff out”, so we can expect the worst parts to have been removed: this is a cleaner and better version of the original video, one could say a “filtered” KoC
- he reuploaded the video after an initial upload the 25 August: he wants you to see this, he really wants everyone to see this
- KoC calls himself a psychotherapist: he is someone smart and very likely gifted with a sharp mind
- KoC has made over 1000 MHN videos, a lot covering the meta: he should have some deep knowledge about how the game works
I will show in this article why KoC isn’t that reliable of an info source as he’s rather manipulative and dishonest, the main reason I’m making this article being:
- this video I just pointed out
- him censoring the YT comments to keep looking like some sort of perfect expert on the game
In this article, I will analyze the first 13 minutes of said video, some of his other YT content and finally some takes I had the pleasure to read on his community Discord. And I’m sure KoC will love my content. After all, as he says in these comments pinned under the reupload, it’s all about accountability.
As a result of keeping said accountability, I made sure to document everything. Any video mentioned here has been downloaded and the link is provided in the Youtube box description, allowing to get the meta datas and notably upload dates. If some of these videos were to disappear, including obviously the main one, they will be reuploaded. And if they need to be reuploaded all the way to rutube cause some malicious individual want to interfer with KoC so loved accountability, they will be uploaded to rutube and linked in this article so that it can stay coherent.
You’ll also find a tl;dr at the beginning of each section. There is a lot to cover and I can understand people not wanting to read what is starting to look like a novel as I’m writing this. If there is a few specific sections you should check, I invite you to check the ones about his friendship with the “devs” and the “ton of research” he did on Japanese and MTX.
THE SAD TRUTH about KoC! MANIPULATION AND LIES EXPOSED!
See what I did there -wink wink-. I initially wrote a first version of this article, based on my memories of the initial video. This raised the issue of people having to trust me and my memory. I guess it’s a good thing KoC reuploaded it on its own then isn’t it? Well good thing for the accountability KoC loves so much, not for me who will have to do some more work and watch his great content again.
KoC friendship with the “dev” team
tl;dr
KoC has been pretending for 2 years already to be in good relation with the dev team of the game and likes to remind people that said devs have praised him, unlike the other content creators. He in fact got invited 2 years ago at Summer Game Fes and met Mark Van Lommel, Communication Director for the game. The devs never praised him, the communication team did (which isn’t that much of the incredible win he makes it look like). He also conveniently left out of the equation the fact that his channel was already well built on Pokemon Go content when he switched to MHN content creation unlike the rest of the scene, which helped obviously his channel growth and getting selected. And they never invited him back again.
This first part is about the original video specifically. It’s one of the extracts KoC removed from the reuploaded video.
The original video started with KoC sharing a video he took himself of his meeting with Mark Van Lommel, Communications Director, Games and Influencer Partnerships
Niantic, Inc., according to KoC channel description. I remember some form of “UNEDITED RAW FOOTAGE” text written on the clip that made me chuckle a little. I’m not fully sure this is the exact video the quotation that can be found in the channel description comes from though. But that quotation can be seen here.
This is according to KoC the “dev” team praising him. But as far as I know, the MHNow actual dev team is located in Japan. And Mr. Van Lommel is “Communications Director”. His job essentially boils down to promoting the game, maybe working on the translation of the original JP game, which are all important parts of the game we enjoy to be fair but nowhere near developing the actual video game aka being part of the so called “dev team”.
Also they’re supposed to promote the game and as such have good relationships with the content creators that make the community live. As such, praising content creators is actually part of their job (and if I’m wrong, I’d love to see someone still working in the Communication Team going in front of a content creator and telling him “you’re insufferable and we hate you” on camera). I can also add that this was 2 years ago in a soon 3 years old game, and as far as I can tell, KoC has never had any additional meet-up of that kind with the “devs”.
This bring us with one of my personnal issue with the character (and I know I’m not the only one in that boat): the narcissism. KoC got praised once by the Communication Team 2 years ago (she won’t come back bro, move on), portrays this as him having good relationships with the devs (except it wasn’t the devs) and he uses this as some sort of proof that he’s above the other content creators (which if it needs to be said isn’t).
I also find this manipulative as he’s conveniently brushing off the fact that he built up his online presence for 3 years prior to MHNow release as a Pokemon Go content creator. According to ChatGPT, KoC had around 9 000 subscribers when Monster Hunter Now released and he shifted his content from one game to another. I’d say in the Youtube landscape it’s quite the head start and some nice help to get your content higher in the algorithm, compared to most content creators that started from scratch. Worst part for me is watching his earlier content clearly shows that he had to work to get there but can’t seem to use this experience to lift others up instead of attacking them.
In the end, it’s not the “devs” that told him to edit the video. It’s an english communication team that it seems didn’t like to be associated with this video oddly enough. And if KoC “respected” these people, he wouldn’t be portraying them as someone else to make himself look better by association, using their image in a video used to insult others while also damaging their work portraying the community under a good light.
Let me tell a personal story. In 2024, back when KoC was getting “praised” by the “dev” team, I went to the Paris Game Week during the MH Wilds pre-release promotion. There was a private evening for the fans of the game where Ryozo Tsujimoto, the Monster Hunter director, and Yuya Tokuda, the MH Wilds director, came. They hosted a multiple-choice question contest which I won with a huge time margin. As a result, with one other fan, I was able to go on stage and hunt a Doshaguma with Ryozo Tsujimoto himself. We quickly folded the Doshaguma and since we had a good time advance, I proposed to take on Rey Dau, the ultimate challenge of that demo in the same hunt. And we did won, giving the crowd some good spectacle. “And they all applauded” (well in fact they did, I mean Tsujimoto was on stage so obv). Anyway, I have some pictures of the event, this was shortly featured in an official Capcom post promoting the event… Where is that proof? I guess I could go fetch the pictures if I had nothing better to do or dig 2 years of Capcom social networks to find said video back.
But point is, none of this is plastered on the front page of my site and I don’t remind everyone I meet I’m “THE HUNTER THAT HUNTED SIDE BY SIDE WITH THE MH DIRECTOR ONE OF THE FIRST REY DAU EVER IN THE OCCIDENTAL COMMUNITY”. No I’m the guy with a guide site on the Monster Hunter franchise. My worth is determined by my actions and results aka the research I’m providing here. To quote Tywin Lannister from GoT, “Any man who must say ‘I am the king’ is no true king“. I find this quote pretty fitting to talk about someone who seems so insecure that he has to shout that he is the “top english Youtuber for MHN” who “got praised by the devs” every time any other content creator is even mentioned.
The Hunter’s Notes roast: lies and manipulation
tl;dr
KoC didn’t attack 2 Youtube channels, he chose to attack 2 dead Youtube channels that very likely won’t fight back. This makes his analysis in the pinned comments of the original video of how the 2 content creators might react clearly performative as he knows that he won’t get any answer from them, which he portrays as said content creators having “planetary egos”.
And here we are back on our regular program, with the actual video itself.
After praising his local hunter communities (which is in fact a good thing, I’ll give credit where credit is due), the video move on to roasting two content creators, Hunter’s Notes and Pauwer Plays. I think I’ll only talk about the Hunter’s Notes part. It’s egregious enough on its own and I geniunely don’t want to watch an additional 25 minutes of KoC yapping bullshit to insult someone else.
First thing first, KoC make the interesting choice of AI editing the video from HN he used, portraying Hunter’s Notes as “Clown’s Notes” and giving him a full clown attire. Already off to a great start, the “top english MHN Youtuber” is using AI to portrays the people he don’t like as clowns. I won’t deny it, I can’t wait to get the same treatement myself. It’s disrespectful, crass, tasteless and immature. I geniunely don’t see what more I could add, it says more about how KoC is as a person than the people he’s attacking.
Then I think it’s interesting to look at the main video from Hunter’s Notes KoC attacked. Here is the video:
Don’t worry I’m not telling you to watch a 45min Youtube video, I’ll simply recap the main point of the video: HN stops his Youtube channel. Reasons are the diminishing returns regarding notably poor monetization and the work involved with his channel. I respect the honesty here, not a lot of people would straight up tell you “Youtube isn’t making me enough money to justify all the work involved between recording, editing, etc”, most people would find some form of grand excuse or simply leave without a word. And as someone who pays 150€ each year to host my site and spends hours working on my research, it definitely resonates with some thoughts I’ve had over the past I think 4 or 5 years.
I also found this video from Pauwer Plays.
Here he is announcing he’s following Hunter’s Notes for similar reasons: diminishing views and returns for the amount of work Youtube content creation takes. He won’t make elaborated videos anymore, just uploading for fun.
So I think it’s interesting to point out that KoC attacked 2 content creators who didn’t upload in a month after videos where they announced they were quiting content creation. KoC is talking about the “EN community” by attacking… Two dead channels. Basically he is trying to look like a though guy by beating essentially corpses. Yeah real badass here, watch out everyone.
And as I promised regarding the KoC pinned comments under his own Youtube video, let’s get back to it and check the second comment. KoC sees “4 real ways this pans out”.
- They respond digging out dirt on him which they can’t because he’s such a great person: -chocking out- As I know what’s about to follow, I have some hard time breathing here. And the channels are dead, KoC knows they very likely will never respond. Simply responding would tarnish their channel responding to a trashy clickbait drama alert video after having left. Jesus the nerves…
- they own up to their faults and apologize: the channels are dead and KoC knows it but he portrays this as not going to happen because and I quote “of their planetary egos”, once again Jesus the nerves… I’ll also show at length here that at least HN has nothing to apologize about. And it’s not because of the “planetary ego” that KoC is projecting here.
- they completely ignore this video and continue to fool their audiences, the most likely path: THE CHANNELS ARE DEAD AND KoC KNOW IT. Sorry I want to make this as big as possible. It’s like a running gag at this point.
- they enter other gaming spaces and start off with a clean state: THE… Yeah no let’s not repeat the joke at that point.
I’m already taking serious mental damage and the video isn’t even started. So let’s move on to what KoC actually said about the HN video.
Buying OP weapons
tl;dr
KoC attacks HN with a strawman, taking one out of context quote of a full one minute argument and blowing it out of proportion. In said argument, HN said that he doesn’t like microtransactions. KoC makes him say that he pretends you can buy weapons from the online shop. KoC also does a false concession, mentioning the fact that Niantic did sell an armor piece in 2026, but conveniently lefting out of his argument the weapons and armor they sold during the 2024 Carnival, among which you could find an armor piece that stayed meta for a few months at least.
Starting from 1min24, KoC engages on the theme of accessibility, giving a, honestly, good explanation. Everything is indeed free in the game and by that point, so far, I don’t see anything bad. Hey he even mentions at 2min32 that not everything is exactly free cause they sold the Auspicious Dragon Gauntlets, you know that one really specific time they did so and never ever again (and yes, me putting emphasis on this point is called foreshadowing). And at 2min56, after 1min30 of geniunely good analysis and content, the rollercoaster starts…
The first angle of attack KoC is using here is that “Clown’s Notes” is saying that, and I quote, “You can pay to get an overpowered weapon in the shop and kill everything in the game“. Followed by an extract of the Hunter’s Notes video. This extract can be found around 21min in HN video and I highly advise you watch the full minute because:
- we’ll come back on that later for other quotations
- it actually adds a lot more context to what HN is saying compared to one line cherry picked out of a 45min video
And I think it’s already blatant. HN is saying he doesn’t like MTX. That’s all that’s being said and that’s his right, it’s a personal opinion. You can agree or disagree, that’s purely subjective. At no point is he saying that you can buy an OP perfect weapon in the shop. So we already have around 30s of KoC taking a sentence out of context and adding a lot of additional meaning behind it that wasn’t here to portray HN as a clown and if I’m to quote what is on the screen a “LIER”. Since KoC seems to hate liars so much, I’ll guess here he just misremembered the video and isn’t doing a strawman argument.
Just like he misremembered the Shibuya 2024 Carnival event he loved so much (he had to remind he was the “only English content creator of the top” that has been there at 8min09). After all, during said event, you could pay an event ticket to build the Carnival 2024 weapons and armor set, with one weapon for each type available at the time. And while the weapons weren’t OP per say, the HBG ended up being one of the first great paralysis weapons back in the days and the armor chest (Lock On, Critical Eye 2) ended up being literally a meta defining armor piece for months if not a full year for most weapons without a skill tax (until the release of Nargacuga chest and Wroggi arms that allowed a similar skill combination). It even stayed one if not the best meta option for SnS and DB affinity based thunder sets paired with Kirin arms until the recent release of Viper Tobi-Kadachi. You would think a meta expert wouldn’t forget such an important piece of gear.
But he surely forgot. Or he just mentioned the Auspicious Dragon Gauntlets to do this little trick called misdirection through compliance or false concession. Hey look I’ll aknowledge it, not everything is free, they did it with that one piece of gear no one cared about, don’t think further and keep listening to me roasting Clown’s Notes. False concession or legit and awfully convenient lapse of memory for a home-made argument in only 30s of video? I’ll let you decide for yourself.
The grind masturbation
tl;dr
KoC attacks HN with essentially void arguments. HN said he worked “for hours and hours and hours to earn a piece of gear” and KoC denies that by pointing three meta overpowered weapons that HN didn’t perfectly maxxed out. KoC mentions his grade 10-1 BBlos Bow, conveniently forgetting the 50 WGS cost back in the days to reach grade 10-5 and that didn’t make that much of a difference when it comes to clearing fights under rank 10. He also points out the official MHN stats regarding weapons raised to grade 10 during year 2, while mocking HN BBlos bow being grade 10 (so obviously misdirecting people as if the official stream talked about grade 10-5 specifically). Anyway at no point, this denies that farming a weapon to grade 10 takes hours, even if it’s “free”. Or I invite KoC to do a livestream where he max out a weapon to 10-5 lvl 20/20 without any prealably farmed materials in under an hour to deny my claim.
At 3min32, KoC is attacking the line “I would work for hours and hours and hours to earn a piece of gear“. The KoC attack is that HN doesn’t own a fully maxxed out Magnamalo LBG. I mean, it’s only a rank 10 weapon and as everyone knows about the game, it definitely doesn’t take hours to grind and yes I’m being sarcastic here. Aside from the fact, that even during events, it does indeed hours to craft a piece of gear, even the tickets weapons (or if KoC wants to deny that, I can’t wait for the live stream of him farming a weapon from scratch all the way to 10-5 lvl 20/20 without any previously farmed materials in under one hour), HN doesn’t own one weapon lvl 20/20 therefore it means he didn’t “earn” said weapon.
So I guess if you’re watching the video or reading this article, you didn’t earn that grade 10-1 weapon. I mean sure you farmed, according to KoC favorite source mhn.quest, at least 19 r6, 40 r5, 49 r4, 75 r3, 105 r2 and 285 r1 (not accounting the gathering) but everybody knows it’s easy. I’m afraid according to KoC you’re a clown which is, going back to his own pinned comments telling us to the check the Urban Dictionnary, “a whack muthafucka and/or a straight up moron”. Nice.
Then he goes on explaining how great Magnamalo LBG is. It’s true it’s an easy to play weapon that can take 10 star monsters. KoC at 3min48 shows a screen from someone taking out Almudron. I’ll just point out that Almudron is a mid-level monster so a 71s kill isn’t that impressive on a 10 star fight, especially when the leaderboard has a 9s GS kill (this is some more foreshadowing yep). Anyway, “you could get [the weapon] completely free” (minus the hours of farming I guess that KoC is conveniently forgetting). Followed by a meme clip “Why you always lying”. KoC is once again showing us here his projection issues.
“But what about before the Magnamalo LBG?” At least KoC is sparing me some mental effort since he keeps going on the same stupid argument. After attacking HN for not owning a lvl 20 Magnamalo LBG, he attacks him for not owning a 10-5 Black Diablos Bow. At 4min03, I quote KoC, “It was the second most upgraded to grade 10 in year 2 by Hunter HR 100 plus“. This in fact true and KoC is “not lying“. And on the HN screen I can see… A grade 10 Black Diablos bow. Wait the data from the official MHN records says grade 10, not grade 10-5. Not even talking about the fact that even if HN didn’t owned a BBlos Bow it shouldn’t even be an issue to begin (last time I check no one is forcing you to craft specific weapons), HN does in fact own a grade 10 Black Diablos Bow. So what is KoC point here?
I also think I should remind people that before an update, upgrading weapons at grade 10-3 required 20 wgs and grade 10-5 required 30 wgs for not that big of a damage buff which, to some people back in the days, was a deterrent to push weapons over grade 10-2. I’m sure KoC who’s so passionate about this game knows this but once again just had a convenient little lapse of memory.
AND HE KEEPS GOING ON ABOUT NOW THE ROSE ASSAULT LBG. It’s incredible. The argument is so bad to begin with and he keeps going on a third time, cherry picking other weapons in HN account that are at a high level, implying some good amount of farming and grinding… But because they aren’t at the max level, it means HN made essentially 0 effort and didn’t “earn” them. And just like the Magna LBG and BBlos Bow, he explains why it is such a great weapon, as if it were to add any value to an already void argument. No KoC, just because a person hasn’t fully maxxed 3 really specific weapons, that doesn’t mean they didn’t grind for hours to get and “earn” them.
“BUT WAIT! THERE’S MORE!” No please don’t take a fourth cherry picked strong weapon to masturbate about how strong it is and how much more you grind than HN when he simply he said, just as a reminder, “I would work for hours and hours and hours to earn a piece of gear” which is in fact true. Wait he actually moved on? Amen, 1min30 of this stupid argument, I seriously though we weren’t going to see the end of it.
The Pokemon Go grind masturbation
tl;dr
KoC keeps going on the same void line. HN said he “played the heck of” Pokemon Go on release which doesn’t mean any quantifiable amount of playtime. KoC compares HN OG level 37 (around 9,5 million XP) to his over 200 million XP, using some bad ChatGPT maths and conveniently forgetting that he, unlike HN, also had access to a lot of systems such as Friendship that sped up the XP gathering. He then proceed to expose HN hiding a Go + that HN never hide as shown with video evidence, mock his game knowledge by taking an out of context screenshot of a joke video from HN portraying it as if he was playing seriously and also mocks HN not knowing about fast catch. He concludes this section acting as if at any point HN pretended to be “an expert in Pokemon Go”.
-read the title of the section- Oh come on… Don’t tell me KoC is once again doing this same stuff of taking a quote out of context, adding additional sense that wasn’t there before, doing once again a strawman argument, and portraying HN as a clown while jerking off about how great of a grinder he is? Well let’s go I guess…
Starting from 5min, KoC is now attacking the line “Pokemon Go came out. I played the heeeck out of it“. Aside from the fact that “the heck” doesn’t really indicate any specific amount of time, KoC points out that HN was only lvl 37, 8 years after its release.
5:18 “I know you always do your best to distract people from the truth“, give me a second while I go chocking elsewhere in front of such audacity with everything that has already been pointed out. Something something Jesus the nerves of this guy…
KoC then mocks HN saying he puts 100% effort in every thing that he did… You would have thought that with such a brazen attack from the “top content creator”, HN said something along the lines of “KoC is a trash peasant, I’m amongst the top 100 Pokemon Go players in the world, I’m the top grinder in the world”. No he said he played “the heck out of it“. And KoC comes back to HN not having the 3 weapons maxxed out, yada yada, can we please move on? It still doesn’t give any weight to that stupid argument. “And you could get these for free as long as you grinded for it“, he literally got these weapons, just cause they aren’t maxxed out doesn’t mean they’re worthless… And while I’m getting what KoC is saying by “for free“, last time I checked the BBlos bow never had a discount and reduced costs regarding Magnamalo LBG isn’t what you would call “for free“, you still have to grind to get them, even non maxxed out. And if it feels like I’m repeating myself, it’s because KoC is literally doing this.
6:17 “But who am I to judge?” With all I’ve uncovered so far, I have some answers but KoC wouldn’t like them so I’ll keep them for me. Now KoC goes back onto the grind masturbation train. Since he has over 200 million XP in PoGo, HN is lying about having “played the heck out of” of the game when it came out (which once again doesn’t quantify jackshit). What is the connection here? I don’t really find one personally but I guess it gives an excuse for KoC to expose his massive PoGo experience. I mean, don’t get me wrong, this is impressive. But I still don’t understand how KoC no lifing Pokemon Go means anyone lvl 37 didn’t play “the heck” out of the game.
And now at 6:51, KoC does some maths or rather ChatGPT does some. How about we look at that screen some more… Level 37 requirement: “2,4 to 2,5 million (a drastic reduction from the old legacy requirement of 9,5 million)“. And, checking Google, when lvl50 was released as KoC is pointing out, the game was still on its old legacy xp system. “This means I have almost a hundred times as much XP“. Well if ChatGPT would have done its maths properly, you would actually have around 4 times less. One more imprecision I guess to add to an ever growing list…
Hey how about I also ask something to ChatGPT: “How long would it take for a player to reach lvl37 on the original release of Pokemon Go?”.
So assuming HN was some sort of hardcore grinder (I don’t think he was, I’m just trying to go in KoC direction here), that mean he would have played the game 2 to 4 months. I’d say that would count as playing “the heck” out of the game but this is purely subjective to be fair.
I also think it’s important to point out the “on the original release” part. After all, HN exact quote is “Pokemon Go came out! I played the heck out of it“. He didn’t said he played it for 8 years and ChatGPT also highlights the importance of stuff like Friendship XP that didn’t exist back then. Meanwhile this is the last Pokemon Go KoC made before moving on to MHN.
So KoC stopped Pokemon Go around the 12 March 2023. So 5 years after Friendship XP released notably. Which can net 100 000 XP for becoming Best Friends after having sent gifts for 90 days (not accounting any Lucky Eggs to double that). I’m sure someone as engaged as KoC was in the Pokemon Go scene never exploited this great XP mine, he purely farmed using good old great catches netting 100 xp (excellent throws net 1000 xp but let’s not pretend these are as reliable aside from some specific Pokemons please). I don’t think I need to push further on the fact that, once again, KoC seems to conveniently miss some stuff in his analysis (that once again doesn’t make any point to begin with).
At 7:14, KoC points out that HN used a Go +. I bought recently a Pokeball + during my latest trip to Japan, saw it at like 10€ second hand, thought “eh Whynaut”. Honestly, cool piece of gear, I can both play MHNow while farming on Pokemon Go passively (which I normally wouldn’t do because I don’t find really engaging catching Zigzagoon number 239950230242 sorry). Ultimately it speeds up catches. So once again, I don’t really see the point KoC is making here (well I see it but it looks like some form of dumb elitism).
Since I want to be as precise as possible, I thought it would be a good idea to look for the original HN video used for his own video. So I went on Youtube and searched “Hunter’s Notes Pokemon Go”, ending up on this video which I’m almost sure KoC has seen it as he does a “ton of research” himself. So he likely has watched the part at 4:51 where HN talks about owning a Go + saying I quote “cause I feel like half of the time I play Pokemon Go passively […], I was playing it with my Pokemon Go + a lot“. Or when he literally makes a camera plan on said Go + at 6:23, very clearly fully showing the device. So I’m left to wonder what KoC meant by “CLEARLY DOESN’T HAVE A GO PLUS/GOT CHA” as it seems like HN never did hide the fact that he owned such a device and used it, unlike what KoC seems to be claiming here.
And I made a mistake, this is the video KoC was pointing out. The AI editing he did on the thumbnail showed at 5:14 induced me in error, my bad. What a silly mistake of mine, hope it didn’t made KoC looks bad. Let’s watch the video, shall we?
In this video, Hunter’s Notes is making a comedic skit, pretending to be playing MHNow while playing Pokemon Go. At 2:15, he engages a Rocket Grunt saying “Battle against my Flying-type Pokemons!”. The team he choose includes Frigibax, Raikou and Voltali. I think we can understand the Pokemons choice here, Ice and Elektrik being super effective against Flying Pokemons. The fight starts and the weak Frigibax HN chose for clearly comedic purpose gets defeated by a Pidgey. The fight goes on until the last Flying-type Pokemon from the Rocket Grunt, a Dragonite whose Dragon type negates his Elektrik weakness, allowing it to defeat Raikou and Voltali. KoC conveniently chose a screen of this silly encounter that can be seen in his video at 7:16: “A JOLTEON VS DRAGONITE? LOL”. I’m sure here KoC is laughing at HN’s great actor performance, he’s definitely not trying to misdirect his audience into thinking that HN is “a total noob“. Wait it’s what he’s literally saying in the video at that point? Oh KoC caught lying, once again… Who would have thought?
And HN “DOESN’T EVEN KNOW HOW TO QUICK CATCH LMAO”. So quick catch is a glitch that speeds up the catch process, removing the 1-2-3 catch part of the pokeball throw (you flee the fight through a manipulation which allows you to keep the flee button on screen when the pokemon is struggling in the ball which instantly resolve the catch or not). This glitch has never been fixed because with how boring catching can be, Niantic very likely realised that they would lose a lot of players using said glitch. At the end of the day, this is an unofficial glitch that speeds up catching. Wait. So the unofficial glitch that speeds up catching is ok. But the official sold device that does the same is not. I’m kind of confused here, could be great if KoC would pick a line.
“Hardcore players like me would rate this guy as a total noob, not an expert in Pokemon GO“… Let me just check back the original quote… “Pokemon Go came out. I played the heeeck out of it“. I’m searching where in these few words it says “I’m an expert at Pokemon Go”. I can’t find it. Once again KoC managed to take a 5s sentence out of context and yap about non-sense and void arguments for almost 2min30s while also jerking off to his own oh so great level and lying on top of that. Japanese and MTX
tl;dr
KoC as usual by now goes on another strawman about saying HN claimed Japanese are good at the game because they dwelve into MTX. HN factually said that MTX aren’t a big deal in Asia which is factually true, as shown by the Japanese content creators uses to show how great the Japanese are at the game, not even counting a Community Forum post where the comments are mostly people chilling about MTX. KoC also shows that he has very likely no knowledge of what it is like playing Monster Hunter Now in Japan in normal conditions and not on the Shibuya Carnival. I also use the content creators KoC shares to point out the very clear lack of 10 star fights in his own videos despite the pretty excuses he makes for it.
And now at 7:20, we’re getting to what I think is the most hilarious part of the video. If his friendship with the so called devs, KoC beating up dead channels like a true badass, deforming HN not liking MTX into “he said you can buy 10-5 OP weapons” and then jerking off how hard he farmed compared to HN that didn’t “earn” his weapons still wasn’t enough, that one part to me is incredible.
I have to quote KoC here, explaining to us what HN was “saying”: “[…] the only reason the Japanese and Asian MHN player communities are so good at the game is because they just accept microtransactions so all they do is just keep spending money on the game“. Now I point you back to the 21-22min HN original video frame where the quote KoC used comes from “Japan and other Asian countries and microtransactions are not a big deal over there” but this time with the full context. So by this point, I won’t insult your intelligence, another usual case of one sentence cherry-picked and with a lot of extra meaning added on top, another strawman.
To keep on going on the cherry picking, KoC is showing us a great run by @MSMN_MHN on Twitter. I don’t know that player. But I do have some experience in speedrunning, being the only person in the world as of September 2 2026 to have soloed a Kirin with base style SnS, one of this weapon worst possible matchup might I add. I want you to note these precise words in the screen I added “AS WE SEE RIGHT HERE HE NEVER USES A SINGLE POTION”. Now this is the pinned post on this speedrunner Twitter account, at least on September 2 2026: https://x.com/msmn_MHN/status/1931265122120720805?s=20. So this is the run he’s very likely the proudest (and he can because I also soloed Nergigante and it’s definitely quite the ordeal). But wait, he has 57 HP at the start of the fight? And what am I seeing in the bottom right corner? 41 potions?! Could it be that before the fight it was 42 and he used a potion to get back from 7 to 57 HP? Could it be that the Japanese players actually also uses microtransactions and aren’t just that magically good at Monster Hunter Now?!
If using a speedrunner to portray the general JP level isn’t already stupid enough, KoC is showing us here how little he knows about speedrunning. When you try speedrunning in MHN, you need to learn the best answer to each move of the monster and the timings for each perfect dodge and block. I repeat, you need to LEARN. And it means making mistakes and taking hits in the process (you would think a teacher knows about this). No, Japanese speedrunners aren’t magically gifted with skill, they train and practice to get there, which implies using potions. And the runs you watch shared on the leaderboards and social networks are the perfect ones, not the 100 prior attempts it took to get there. Speedrunners are likely amongst the best Niantic clients during their practice. So if KoC has had a sliver of knowledge about this topic, he would have known to definitely not pick a speedrunner to portray the Japanese not using potions or at least he would have made an effort hiding msmn identity so that it wouldn’t taken me a 5s search to prove how stupid his argument is. What a joke. But remember, KoC does “a ton of research“.
And look he even searched a post on the official MHN Community Forum! Great finding indeed, we have here a Japanese player complaining about not getting enough first aids. It clearly shows that they don’t “just deal with it” right? Oh yeah by that point it’s killingme, that username is so fitting. This guy literally has as much likes as the original post! In conclusion, people here definitely aren’t against MTX like he’s pretending they are, only taking the convenient part for his argument like we’re used to by that point. Either they don’t really care and give advice on how to reduce your first aid consumption or they agree that beginners specifically should be given more first aids as an incentive to engage further with the game. And I insist BEGINNERS, not regular hunters. So once again, KoC is showing how little he knows on the topic despite the “ton of research” he does.
And while he’s showing this on screen, KoC mocks HN for never having being to Japan. I guess at least for once I can give credit on the fact that quote he uses at 7:59 from HN isn’t a strawman and some actual good proof of what he’s saying. Congratulations I guess, it only took 8 minutes of video for KoC to finally not lie about what HN is saying. And KoC has actually been to Japan! Three times?! Woah that’s a lot! So when and where did he went? In 2019 in Yokohama for a Pokemon Go Fest (so before MHNow release in the Tokyo area it seems), on vacation at an unspecified date (I’ll suppose this is inbetween the other 2 trips so very likely before MHNow release or else he would very likely have made some content) and as the “ONLY ENGLISH CONTENT CREATOR AT THE TOP” that went to the Shibuya Carnival in 2024 (Tokyo area during an event and thus not in regular gameplay conditions).
So first, not he’s not the only english content creator “at the top” that went there (some more narcissism just like we love). As a matter of fact, this tweet from Shincry, a more than well-known Spanish content creator in the Monster Hunter community and a great guy, is him getting invited to the festival by Niantic themselves: https://x.com/Shincry/status/1843724418050330880?s=20. Let’s not dwelve too much on the fact that this happened after KoC met up with the “dev” team and they invited Shincry not him. I also don’t think KoC is lying here: he’s just so infatuated with his image that he likely don’t even know who Shincry is despite his “ton of research“.
And as I quietly pointed out listing the times he went to Japan… He doesn’t know jackshit about playing MHN in Japan. Two of the trips are irrelevant to the question to begin with and the only trip that grant him his “knowledge” is during a huge event that will obviously gather a ton of dedicated players. I personally went to this year Pokemon Go Fest in Copenhague. Outside of the dedicated event venue at Fælledparken, people gathered at the Hans Tavsens Park. You had thousand of peoples patrolling the park playing Pokemon Go. Does this means that all year long you can find thousand of PoGo players at Hans Tavsens Park? Nope as obviously everyone that was present there came for the Go Fest, not because Copenhague is the european Pokemon Go capital. And this also doesn’t prove that the Pokemon Go players I saw there “grind gaming really hard and they are really good at it” all year long.
And to quote KoC himself, as he said previously at 6:17, “But who am I to judge?“. Let me try my best impersonation. “Well unlike this clown, I went seven times to Japan, I do in fact know what I’m talking about when it comes to MHNow in Japan”. Yep went seven times there, with 3 times actually relevant to the topic at hand, in summer 2024 going to Hokkaido and Tokyo, spring 2025 between Kyoto and Hiroshima with my parents and summer 2026 on the traditional Golden Road with a friend. Aka in a regular gameplay context not an event with thousand of players gathered in the same area for the occasion.
And now he moves on talking about the Japanese MHNow community, praising them. As you know, there’s obviously no one in the english community that “grind the game and spend hours and hours getting the best weapons and gear” (aside from himself obviously) unlike these god like creatures that are the Japanese people, all these Asian creators that “have such great skill, they hardly spent potions at all“.
And I’ve got to say, I think I will have a hard time finding counters to his claim. He’s using the words “a majority” which gives him deniability if I were to find a bad japanese player as it could be outside of said majority and “hardy spent potions at all” so attacking a potion amount in an account would be pointless. Except, I think we should remember the HN quote he’s attacking: “Japan and other Asian countries and microtransactions are not a big deal over there“. So I’ll chose to analyze the Youtube channels he pointed out based of HN claims. I’m sure they will prove him wrong after all and no one will have something as egregious as the 41 potions msmn displayed. Hell, on the 24th July, Niantic released gacha type item packs where you get randomly selected to get the option to buy specific item packs in the online shop. Since we all know gacha is bad, I’m sure these content creators flamed Niantic for pulling this gacha shit:

And if someone wants to tell me I’m nitpicking… KoC is doing it all the time while also shouting a lot of bullshit to flood the zone and prevent people to stop and think, moving the goalpost further and further. The initial claim from HN is that Asian countries are more OK with MTX. It had never anything to do with their skill level or never spending potions. I simply brought the argument back to its very root.
I also want to point out that staying on your first aid stocks and “hardly [spending] potions at all” isn’t some incredible Japanese hidden super power or a display of skill. Granted I am not one of these divine beings but I’m currently on 6 first aids and forgot to claim the 4 missing for a week already. It’s not because I don’t hunt, it’s because I’m simply smart on managing my ressources because I’ve played this game for 3 years already. I can also add the fact that while I’m not grinding as hard as our gods as I’m just a puny Westerner obviously (KOF KOF https://x.com/MasukuMH/status/2070898103675134089?s=20), my main armor sets are fully maxxed out which also helps tanking hits when I make a mistake. Even then, I get hit under 30 HP? Ok do I have the time for my HP to recover before whatever I’m doing disappear of the map? If yes, hey already a first aid saved. No? Do I really need to use a first aid then? I mean it’s only one monster and the hourly reset is about to roll in, I can simply start the encounter and start the fight once I’m back to 30 HP. And voilà, one more first aid saved. To quote the Community forum comments, kiyota18: “Deciding whether to spend a little money or nothing at all is your own choice—nobody is forcing you to do it, after all. You need to be resourceful.“. The only times most advanced players, no matter their origins, use potions usually is:

- limited opportunities: I myself have a base 20km from home and don’t own a car so I usually have only one 30 minutes attempt each time to reach the required score for riftcharge monsters, often using weapons I’m less familiar with, which means getting hit more often in the process
- speedrunning: already explained, butting your head over and over learning the exact perfect timings
Moving on to 8:39 and we’re back to some good bullshit. There are “multiples areas where [Asian hunters] can do group hunts constantly“. Last time I checked the spawn are refreshed every hour. They don’t get refreshed every 10s so you can do group hunts “constantly“. And these kind of areas exists in Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto which is where I highly suspect KoC went during his trips to Japan, the good old Golden Road. As someone with some actual on field knowledge, these areas are high human traffic areas, generally train stations. In Tokyo, you will find these around Akihabara, Shibuya, Shinjuku or Ikebukuro. Now move 100m from these hot spots and you will quickly go back to your regular hunting experience just like back home, except you’ll see more often the “Hunters nearby: 1”. And even in these hot spots… Ok you get invited to the 5-10 hunts nearby at the beginning of the hour, you clear everything around you. Now what? Now nothing because you can’t stay in one spot and hunt “constantly” with a full squad destroying the monster easily. There’s no magical place where you get easy hunts “constantly” sorry, even in Tokyo. And I insist on “Tokyo”, you know the city that holds a quarter of the national population. Go outside of the most popular areas, go check Sapporo for instance and find these magical places where you get invited constantly, I’m sure the town is briming with such incredible places (spoiler alert, I can picture the local train station and maybe Susukino and I’m pretty sure people don’t live at the train station).
And he then shows the Youtuber Shizukumochi who has grinded all the Bishaten and Lagombi weapons. Impressive indeed and I respect that. I’m just, as usual, a little curious so a quick Youtube search… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lha3jj56j9c&t=401s. 62 potions. I also want to point a common feature between these Youtube content creators. Aside from maybe さーどらちゃんねる who doesn’t show much gameplay and is often analyzing the news, they all show 10 star fights in their videos. And they make a lot of views. So I have this to ask. Here is the video KoC released after his attack on HN and Pauwer:
As he says at 5:28, he has “watched thousand of hours of analysis and content outside of” his own. And these are the “top categories“. And then he follows at 6:24 with the “least viewed content“. So speedrunning, 10 star slays and blogs/IRL. Except 10 star slays aren’t portrayed alone usually. They are in the guides KoC is putting in the top categories. You would have thought he would have noticed during “thousand of hours of analysis and content outside of” his own. And you’ll never guess what kind of content Hunter’s Notes was doing. Oh yeah blogs/IRL! What a fucking coincidence! And he made 1,5 to 2k views usually in his videos it seems! With half the subscribers than KoC who does double the views with his guides! I’m sure people can do the maths on their own to notice that nope, IRL content isn’t less popular (reminder also that KoC started his MHN content with, according to ChatGPT, 9k subscribers). And even when you go to look at the Youtubers our “top content creator” point out… Would you look at that xxゆうxx【チャンネル】 is doing IRL content!
Leaving aside the fact that once again this analysis is just as bad as usual, I want to note the lack of 10 star slays in KoC videos. Pretty much all the JP Youtube content creators he chose to display show 10 star slays in their guides (the only one being someone that mostly cover news). But KoC never does. Well he’s proud to boast about him clearing the Hunter Trials…
Using mostly a Chameleos Bow. Nothing wrong with using a weapon you like. I’ll simply point out that it’s a poison Bow with Status Sneak Attack 2 as a weapon skill. So a range weapon (safety) with an easier time inflicting poison (aka reducing the monster’s HP passively). What a display of “masterful gameplay” truly! And he actually shared some gameplay against 10 star monsters:
So a few things to point out:
- at 2:00 he claims BBlos has 187 700 HP. On field BBlos has that much HP. Hunting Trials one used the story HP version since it was too hard so 150 160 HP. It’s just a minor 37 000 less HP to deal with but you’d think the “top content creator” who does “a ton of research” would know that detail
- KoC is barely scraping by with a 75s on BBlos (June 16 2025). This is the WR on poison bow by bobu with 50s (June 18 2025). And this is my own run with 72s… Using a base style Barrioth SnS (D tier weapon btw, there seems to be a bug with the date but notice the little Hunting Trials symbol in the thumbnail and wonder what purpose would I have faking a lower HP value). So much “masterful gameplay“.
- Goldian is a 74s with a 40% damage bonus might I add (June 16 2025). I couldn’t find a proper WR as the current one uses Timed Charger which wasn’t available at the time (67s though without said 40% bonus). But here is my own 68s with a D tier weapon (May 31 2025). You would have thought someone who grind as hard as KoC would have used a weapon with the proper element and not resisted. I mean he must have had a proper thunder set like me a puny Occidental.
- Once again barely scraping by at 75s (June 16 2025). The WR uses all the skills KoC criticizes for a 52s (July 7 2025). As usual, my own D tier weapon run with 70s (May 24 2025).
- Over these 3 fights, he got trashed 210 times at least with a Bow of all weapons.
And this is one of the last time we’ll see 10 star runs by KoC as far as I know. Also I love the “Waiting for the rest to catch up. But I already know they won’t finish or even come close before times up“. Childish as usual, sorry it took more time, some of us actually like true challenge like using a D tier weapon. Also bonus jerking himself off with his Pokemon Go PvP resume. How the fuck does it translate to any skill in MHNow, I’d love an explanation.
Back to the original video, at 9:00, I think I’m getting legit triggered. KoC has the nerves to call the content creators he’s attacking “performative“, bad people pretending to look like good ones. So what the fuck am I watching here if not one of the most performative and pathetic bullshit I’ve seen in a while? “Oh all mighty Japanese kami, I am so sorry that the clown offended you by pointing out a real cultural difference! Oh look how humble I am!”. I’m very seriously at a loss of words.
Going a tangent, I refuse to believe KoC has never noticed that all the popular “free” gacha games such as the mihoyo games, Fate/GO, Azur Lane, Uma Musume, etc all come from Asia and that they make a lot more revenue there than in the Occident. Almost as if, indeed, “Japan and other Asian countries and microtransactions are not a big deal over there“. This is a notable cultural difference with the Western communities. I also find hilarious that KoC essentially confirms what HN says in his video at 21:18, the fact that in Occident, there’s a “meritocracy aspect of it” regarding not engaging into MTX as he’s acting offended that someone would remove the merit the Japanese players have farming their gear (which as usual by that point wasn’t what HN said).
Hunter’s Notes excuses

KoC goes on a random rant about first aids which doesn’t make any sense, portraying it as him attacking HN finding excuses (he doesn’t use a clip for once so it’s just him rambling). He then attacks HN saying he wanted to be a role model. As a reminder, HN only said he doesn’t like MTX in the clips KoC is taking out of context. The ChatGPT answers KoC points very clearly define “someone who habitually blames the game”, not a specific aspect of the game which is known to be pretty controversial in Occident. Then KoC strike his massive ego in public by reminding everyone about how great he was in Pokemon Go which leads to me reminding him how great he is in the MHN community looking at this video since it seems rather fitting.
Starting from 9:12, our “top content creator” goes into an interesting direction. He asks “What excuses does [HN] has?“. Uh. For what? For real, what even is the subject here? KoC randomly starts going on HN excuses without any HN words attached to it. Pure improvisation. He goes on some maths regarding how many first aids you would have received since the beginning of the game and I have to ask once again: what point are you making KoC? Sure, impressive, in 3 years a player can get 5000 first aids (I’m also impressed KoC has to ask ChatGPT to do something as complicated as 365 X 3 X 5). BUT WHERE ARE YOU GOING WITH THIS?! KoC here is yapping in the void without any real argument, simply big numbers to impress people without any real fundation anywhere here.
And then he attacks HN on the fact that he would make for a poor leader or rolemodel. I guess we’re still on the sentence “Japan and other Asian countries and microtransactions are not a big deal over there” and as a reminder, HN has only truly said he doesn’t like MTX. So what am I reading here? “A person who habitually blames the game (balance, lag, matchmaking, teammates, “the meta”, etc)“. I have to ask: where does it says anything about not approving MTX?

And at 10min into the video, we get another “But who am I to judge?“. Just look at the HN video, you’ll find sunnyCUD, ShawnzyPlays and PauwerPlays. Meanwhile KoC, this rolemodel for the community, is only going on about “me me me” like a fucking broken record. Other content creators? Pff they’re not the top one, they’re worthless evil performative jealous people! Speedrunners?
The top Youtuber that does a ton of research (me me me) claims that no one in the west can claim a WR so therefore they’re obviously worthless in front of his Majesty. Let me challenge this claim. After all I myself am claiming to be the only person who has soloed a Kirin with base style SnS. Therefore that makes an Occidental player the world record holder for this Kirin solo as of September 2 2026. So prove me wrong KoC, here is the research you can use: “キリン 片手剣 now” (Kirin SnS now). The T shirts stuff
At 11:13, after, just as reminder, KoC showing us how flexible he is sucking his own dick for more than a full minute, he recounts how his issues with HN began. Seems like our favorite narcissist got his fragile ego hurt once and is now ready to fight back (when HN has already left the ring KOF KOF).
So from what I’m understanding, HN in the past talked politely with KoC about him having awfully close designs to shirts he sold. I mean you can literally look at the HN Discord message on screen, he’s not really brutalizing KoC. I quote “I don’t own the designs […] but the placement and the circle and text on the back seems heavily inspired haha“. I don’t really get the “like he’s some kind of approval official of something“: I don’t need any position of authority to be able to tell “hey this looks similar”. The demonstration on how KoC makes his T shirt also proves jackshit regarding him having copied or not HN. I’d say with a malicious smile that it does show the amount of effort he likely put in his “ton of research” though. If KoC wants to prove he didn’t copied HN designs, it would have been interesting to put both designs side by side and let people judge instead of finding excuses once again.
He then goes to show his inspirations, not forgetting to remind us that he was in the military and in an Esport team. Cool story bro but I don’t want your curriculum vitae, how about you show the T shirts designs side by side so that people can see if yes or no you might have took inspiration from HN? I also want to point my use of “might”. I have no proof that KoC copied HN. I don’t know what T shirts he’s talking about. And while KoC at this point has been proven multiple times to be a liar, so long as I don’t have proofs, I won’t draw my conclusions on this T shirt stuff.
And as a matter of fact, he finally shows the designs at 12:17!
Let’s check the designs KoC took inspirations of:
- logo and text on the front left pocket on the USAF one, team name and logos on both front pockets for the Esport one
- huge logo on the back for the USAF one, pretty design and the gamertag on the back for the Esport one
Now let’s check HN design and KoC side by side as I’ve proposed:
- A weapon logo on the front left pocket on both T shirts
- A circular logo with a sentence under said logo on both T shirts
I know that I don’t like KoC, it’s pretty obvious at this point. But I also think anyone can tell than both KoC and HN designs are awfully similar in their elements and position and that the T shirts KoC took inspiration of look nothing like his final result (not talking about quality here, simply with the back, both have different structures and the esport one has a really small logo and the nametag widely spread across the back).
I will call KoC once again a liar on that one. At no point KoC even aknowledges the fact that both his and the HN one looks the same. He could have gone with a quick “granted our designs look a like”. Nope only pure attack and strawmen asking “Do they need approval for their T shirt design?” as if at any point in the Discord screen shown HN is saying KoC would have need his approval. He simply said something along the lines of “hey you could have told me man”. Here KoC pointed out on his so called “inspirations” what is essentially T shirt design 101: logo on the front left pocket and nice design on the back. “PRETTY CLEAR WHERE I GET MY INSPIRATION FROM” I can read on the screen at 12:20 while the T shirts he shows and his ones aren’t even remotely similar…
And at 12:24 more strawman using… A Youtube comment, how interesting. KoC takes the quotation from “I’m only posting this because you are questioning my character” and turns it into HN claiming his character being “unquestionable“. He has only said here that he is defending himself because KoC is attacking him in the post featured here. Not that he is “unquestionable“. KoC also claims that HN “thinks someone asked him to “unify” content creators” when all HN is writing is that he has “tried to be an unifier especially when it comes to content creators“. He didn’t say he’s on some sort of divine mission, simply that he tries to unify people. And having an unified community shouldn’t be a bad thing. Good thing we’ve got a new unifier nowadays, KingofClowns, unifying all content creators to confirm that he is a lying piece of shit.
I also want to point the full HN comment: first he points out KoC “pettiness” and “ego”. How would you qualify someone that needs to keep remind you every 5s that he is the “TOP CONTENT CREATOR”, that he did so many great things in his life, that he is such a great guy… In a video where he’s attacking someone that pointed out obvious design similarities at least a year ago, after that guy has retired for already a month, portraying him as a clown, a moron according to the Urban Dictionnary, by lying over and over again? I’d say the “pettiness” and “ego” are on point.
And HN even does what I criticized KoC for above. Let me quote “KOC, you made shirts that look almost identical to mine. That’s a fact“. As shown above this is, as a matter of fact true. And KoC having being in the military or an esport team doesn’t change jackshit to that fact, objectively the shirts do “look almost identical“. Followed by “Did I come up with this idea? Yes. Is it original? HELL no haha. It’s obviously a similar idea for many people“. HN here aknowledges that KoC does have a point: his design isn’t also that original to begin with and it makes sense that KoC could have come up with this design on its own without any inspiration from HN. Unlike KoC in this part who very clearly avoided to point the fact that the design are awfully close.
And I also want to point out this line “Here is EXACTLY what I DMed him a week or so after the launch of his merch“. Unlike KoC which loves accountability so much yet conveniently forgot to add links to the original videos he used in this attack, HN actually showed the receipt. He didn’t mislead people, took stuff out of context, conveniently forgot details that didn’t went his way. He showed the actual mp he sent KoC and left people to judge for themselves.
I will quickly do a little recap of this T shirt argument from what I’ve gathered in this sequence:
- HN signals politely that KoC design looks similar to his, through a private message on Discord to KoC himself (date being “Today”, I can’t properly tell when this happened obviously). As shown previously, he does have a point but also the designs are indeed pretty generic. The message isn’t threatening or telling him “cease your activities immediately”
- KoC makes a public video attacking HN and not naming him (after all, HN answer is a Youtube comment and no I’m not going to search through literally 1000 MHN videos to find another drama alert bullshit video from KoC)
- HN answers back, showing the Discord message he sent KoC (which tell me KoC likely never answered and directly went for the clickbait video)
And now that HN is no longer here, KoC, brave hero that he is, is taking his petty pathetic revenge.
This screen is just so perfect. So we’ve got the good old dick stroking about KoC being a psychotherapist to begin with. And then delivering an analysis of HN on its own, mind you, someone he clearly doesn’t like which obviously will add a bias to said analysis. But let’s look at this shall we?
- Unsubstantiated self-praise: I’m dying. I’m straight up dying. THE FUCKING PROJECTION HERE. Blabla I’m a psychotherapist, blabla top content creator, blabla was in the military, blabla was in an esport team, blabla Shibuya, blabla went to Japan 3 times, blabla was the greatest Pokemon Go role model the Earth has ever known, blabla is the second coming of Christ on Earth… May I ask by the way why you WERE and not ARE in all these team based structures? Why they very likely didn’t want to keep such a great guy as you? Why such a great team player is being despised by all the others MHN EN content creators aside from all I’ve exposed here? Could it be because of your fucking overinflated ego?
- Territorial ownership vibe: you’re literally the one that opened a war over a single Discord message that could have ended at that. You’re the one that made that public on your own. You could have simply not answered or went with a “the design is generic and we randomly reached the same results”. You’re the one who did what looks like a video “exposing” HN.
- Victim + righteous framing: THE FUCKING PROJECTION ONCE AGAIN. It’s not the merch similarity the character attack here, it’s the obvious video you made about it putting this shitfest in public. Video once again you forgot to link despite loving accountability so much, how awfully convenient.
I won’t even bother with the second screen. KoC is supposed to be a psychotherapist, someone smart, yet just look at point 3. This moron can’t even understand the subject of HN comment, the fucking video he made himself and very likely spent hours voicing and editing. What do you want me to add? This first screen is all that’s needed to prove how manipulative is KoC being here.
13:02 “All he mostly cared about was the views and the money. He barely cared about the community at all.“. I’ve already explained that I respect HN honesty in the video KoC is deforming to attack him. Watching this section up to 13:20 is making my blood boil after everything I’ve uncovered so far. I won’t even touch the “look he doesn’t care cause the weapons aren’t fully maxxed out”. This is still the same void argument.
I also won’t cover the Pauwer attack. I have no doubt with everything I’ve shown so far that I could keep finding more lies, misdirections, strawman arguments, convenient omissions, etc. But we’re currently at 13:20 of a 35:53 video. We’re only reaching a third of the video and look. KoC very clearly take his audience for an army of morons he can manipulate with smoke and mirrors and weaponize against dead channels to portray himself as the greatest guy the face of the Earth has seen. This is what this piece of shit calls “caring about the community” I guess. What additional proofs do you want? How about one last double standard at the start of the Pauwer part? How about we compare KoC Hunting Trials set with the set Pauwer came up for fun on the fly?
So on one side KoC with a non fully driftsmelted set with “random Driftsmelts“? Good, dude is such a badass player! On the other Pauwer with a non fully driftsmelted set with “random Driftsmelts“? What a fucking tourist lmao! Let’s add another double standard on the pile of bullshit. I also love that KoC usually shows mhn.quest screenshots when he presents his sets and never the set itself. You would think he would proudly show his own perfectly driftsmelted sets he made through his intensive grinding.
Let’s now move on to the second part of this analysis: let’s look at KoC channel. After all, he’s surely not doing this for “the views and the money“?
KoC, censorship and content farming
For context, while I have proved multiple times now that KoC is a pathetic lying piece of shit, I’ll keep that data out of the following part. I will try to stay as objective as possible in this specific part. But I won’t refrain from taking quotes and screens from the video KoC desesperately wanted to see. Like so.
It’s not about the views but KoC is doing a pretty view comparison to humiliate his victims. But how about we look at the average views per video here. And KingofClowns becomes already way less impressive with on average 2675 viewers per video when Hunter’s Notes is already above 3000 viewers on average and Pauwer Plays is even above 10 000 viewers on average.
I also want to point out 1689 videos over 6 years on Youtube. That makes 281,5 videos a year. Actually I made a mistake, KoC said in the video following his rant that he made more than 1000 videos about MHNow, a soon 3 year old game. So let me correct, assuming a full 3 years and 1001 videos for the low estimate. We’re now at 333 videos a year.
