MHWilds introduces new skills who can deal bonus hits, increasing our dps. These skills are:
- Convert Element: trigger an aura when hit by an elemental move that allows you to deal additional dragon hits
- Flayer: status like skill dealing a fixed damage explosion when it procs
- Whiteflame Torrent: Zoh Shia weapon skill, allows to deal additional 50 damage hits with a complex internal cooldown, has a synergy with Scorcher who allows it to get imbued with fire element increasing its power
- Bad Blood: Nu Udra set skill, additional hits every 2s as long as Resentment is active
- Scorcher: Rathalos & Guardian Rathalos set skill, additional fire hits with a complex internal cooldown, has a synergy with Whiteflame Torrent
- Azure Bolt: Lagiacrus set skill, one additional thunder hit then grants a temporary affinity buff
- Corrupted Mantle: not a skill but its additional hits works in a similar fashion (it has more attacks that won’t trigger its effect though)
Game design oblige though, some of our weapon moves can’t proc these skills. This is why this page is here listing all moves who fall under this category.
Also note that on multi-hits attacks (bow for instance), only one hit will proc the special skill damage.

- Dash Attack, Finishing Thrust (the charged version Finishing Twin Thrust can proc skills), Reverse Attack

- Axe: Wild Swing (for the Morph Sweep follow-up, the axe hits can’t proc skills but the sword hit finishing the move can; the Heavy Slam follow-up can proc skills)

Note that in once the Sword is charged, all phials explosions can proc skills (thus allowing to trigger skills on moves who shouldn’t such as Counter Rising Slash and Unbridled Slash)
